Momina Affaf Taiyebati hails from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. She has pursued a Bachelor's degree in English, a Master's degree in Islamic Studies, and a Master's degree in English Literature. She completed her Alimiyat–Fazilat from Jamea-tut-Taiyebat, Kanpur, and is currently pursuing B.Ed. She has served as a teacher of Tafseer and Hadith, and is presently teaching Arabic and English languages. During her Alimiyat, she also served as the President of Anjuman Banatut Taiyebat. A passionate writer, she regularly contributes articles, stories, and poems to Aura-e-Magazine and other Urdu and English publications.
In GIO, she has held several important responsibilities. She began as the Unit President of GIO Kanpur Central Unit, after which she became the District Organizer of Kanpur. She later served as the Assistant Secretary of CIO UP East and subsequently became a Zonal Advisory Committee member in 2020. In the same term, in 2021, she was elected as the Zonal Secretary of GIO UP East and served in this role for three years. In the current term (2025–26), she has been elected as the Zonal President of GIO UP East and also serves as the National Secretary of the National Federation of GIO.
