Adv. Sumaiya Roshan

Adv. Sumaiya Roshan

President

Adv. Sumaiya Roshan hails from Bangalore, and now resides in Chennai. She holds a B.A.LL.B and an LL.M in Constitutional Law, both from Bangalore. She has experience in litigation in the Bangalore District Court and the High Court of Karnataka, and has also been a member of the Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR), Karnataka Chapter. At an organisation level, she has previously held responsibilities in GIO Karnataka including Unit President of RT Nagar and Yeshwanthpur Units (2018–20), Assistant District Organizer of Bangalore City (2021), and was elected as the State President of GIO Karnataka for its 8th Term 2021–22. Now serves as the President of the National Federation of GIO since 2022.

Afeefa Tahniyath

Vice President

Afeefa Tahniyath is from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. She holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering and works as a Security Analyst in an MNC in Hyderabad, specialising in Cyber Security awareness. Organisationally, Afeefa has held various roles in GIO AP, including Campus Secretary, GIO Vijayawada City, and Campus Secretary, GIO AP (2021–22). She was also elected as a Member of NFGIO (2022–2024). She serves as a Member of the Zonal Advisory Council, GIO AP (since 2019), an ex-officio member of the Markazi Taleemi Board (since 2023), and is currently serving as the Vice President of the National Federation of GIO (since 2025).

Anamtha Ahmed

General Secretary

Anamtha Ahmed is based in Mumbai and is currently pursuing an MBA in Marketing, with a keen inclination toward creative expression and poetry. With over eight years of purposeful involvement in the Girls Islamic Organisation, she has grown through diverse responsibilities across local and zonal levels. Her journey has given her experience in areas such as social media outreach, dawah initiatives, and Baitul Maal coordination, along with key roles including Zonal Advisory Council member and Zonal Secretary of Maharashtra South zone. She currently serves as the General Secretary of the National Federation of GIO. Deeply passionate about youth development, Anamtha is committed to helping young Muslimahs discover their purpose and strengthen their connection with their Lord. She envisions nurturing spaces within communities where every girl feels supported, and inspired to grow, contribute, and strive for a higher purpose.

Adv. Maseera Firdous

Adv. Maseera Firdous hails from Warangal, Telangana, now resides in Hyderabad. She holds a B.A.LL.B and is currently pursuing M.A Psychology from Hyderabad. An Advocate practicing in Hyderabad and RangaReddy Courts. At an organization level, she has previously held responsibilities in GIO Telangana including Circle for Junior Associate(CJA) Secretary, Warangal (2019), Regional Organizer of Hanamkonda - Warangal (2020), Regional Organizer of Kothagudem - Khammam District (2021), Expansion Secretary of GIO Telangana (2022) and was elected as the State President of GIO Telangana for the Term 2023-24. Now serves as the Secretary of National Federation of GIO as well as Organizational Secretary of Telangana since 2025.

Safeeda Hussain

Safeeda Hussain hails from Kerala. She completed her B.Sc. Botany (Honours) from the University of Delhi (2019–2022) and later pursued a Bachelor in Education from the University of Kerala (2022–2024). She has previously served as the Zonal Advisory Member of GIO Kerala (2023–2024). She now serves as the Secretary.

Coordination Secretary

Fehmeeda Qureshi belongs to Ahmedabad East district of Gujarat and is currently residing in Kalupur, Ahmedabad Central. She has completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Gujarat University and has also completed a 5-year Islamic Certified Course from Jamia Islamiya, Bhopal. At the organizational level, her previous responsibilities include serving as the Ahmedabad East Unit Secretary and Zonal Advisory Council Member (2017–2018), Zonal Secretary (2019–2020), and Zonal President (2021–2022). Since 2023, she has been serving as the Zonal Secretary and a National Federation Member. In the current term, she is also rendering her services as the Coordination Secretary of NFGIO.

Momina Affaf Taiyebati

Organisation and Society Secretary

Momina Affaf Taiyebati hails from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. She has pursued a Bachelor's degree in English, a Master's degree in Islamic Studies, and a Master's degree in English Literature. She completed her Alimiyat–Fazilat from Jamea-tut-Taiyebat, Kanpur, and is currently pursuing B.Ed. She has served as a teacher of Tafseer and Hadith, and is presently teaching Arabic and English languages. During her Alimiyat, she also served as the President of Anjuman Banatut Taiyebat. A passionate writer, she regularly contributes articles, stories, and poems to Aura-e-Magazine and other Urdu and English publications. In GIO, she has held several important responsibilities. She began as the Unit President of GIO Kanpur Central Unit, after which she became the District Organizer of Kanpur. She later served as the Assistant Secretary of CIO UP East and subsequently became a Zonal Advisory Committee member in 2020. In the same term, in 2021, she was elected as the Zonal Secretary of GIO UP East and served in this role for three years. In the current term (2025–26), she has been elected as the Zonal President of GIO UP East and also serves as the National Secretary of the National Federation of GIO.

Humaira Kamal

Humaira Kamal

Media Secretary

Humaira Kamal is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in English Literature (B.A. Hons) from Jamia Millia Islamia, with a minor in Psychology. She has a keen interest in media and journalism, blending her academic background in literature and psychology to understand narratives, communication, and audience engagement more effectively. She is currently serving in the Graphics Team of The Jamia Review, a student-led media organization based at JMI. She has also been associated with Maktoob Media as a Student Ambassador, contributing to independent and responsible journalism initiatives. At an organizational level, she has actively served within GIO Delhi. She was the Unit Secretary of the Shaheen Bagh Unit (2024–25) and has been a part of the GIO Delhi Media Department (2023–26). In 2025, she took on the responsibility of Media Secretary of GIO Delhi, contributing strategically to media planning, communication, and outreach initiatives.
